I am in the progress of recording a new, full-length album. It’s been on the forefront of my mind for years now, but I have felt as if my hands have been tied behind my back. I had gotten to the utter bottom in terms of finances and I had finally reached a point to where I had gone over a week eating nothing but pancake mix. It was then that I took a step back and got a full-time job as a web developer.
The last 2 years have been a building of sorts. I started my own tech company and have worked frantically to build software in an effort to create the means to be able to pursue music, while still paying the bills.
It’s funny how God never seems to operate in the same time-scale as we do, but the results often far surpass that of our own dreams.
I’m now in a situation where I can pick my own hours and work remotely, while still have the opportunity to afford building a studio and getting set up for tours. I’ve learned that there is something powerful in the freedom of being able to create art without the pressure of having that art pay your bills.
The album I’m creating now is done in my own studio, and I finally have the free time and the resources to make it happen the way that I want it to.
Here are some songs that I recorded in the past. Enjoy them and stay tuned for my new album and my new tours to be set up!
